Wound/Ostomy Nurse Practitioner

NYU Langone Health is seeking a highly skilled Wound/Ostomy Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bellevue Hospital & Clinic. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex wound and ostomy needs.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the attending physician and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and provide education to patients and families on wound and ostomy care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and guidelines in wound and ostomy care.
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
- Certification in Wound/Ostomy Care (CWOCN) or Board Certification in a related specialty.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in wound and ostomy care.
- Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
