Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Assessments: Evaluate students' needs through formal assessments and develop appropriate action plans to ensure their academic and personal success.
  • Advocate for Students: Act as a liaison between the student, school, and community resources to ensure students' rights and needs are met, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Promote a Positive School Climate: Foster an inclusive and supportive school environment that promotes the well-being of all students, encouraging positive relationships and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Teachers and Staff: Work with educators and school personnel to identify and support at-risk students, developing strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain Confidential Records: Keep detailed and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and interventions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Master's (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
  • IL PEL with an endorsement in Social Work
  • Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred
