Job Title: Insurance Producer

Brown & Brown is a meritocratic company that rewards self-starters and those committed to doing what's best for our customers. We're seeking an experienced Insurance Producer for our Employee Benefits team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to meet business planning objectives
  • Prospect for new accounts through various means, including telephone calls, written correspondence, and personal visits
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM tool for all sales activity
  • Conduct annual customer stewardship meetings to review and analyze policies and experiences
  • Establish direct customer contact with key accounts and prospects
  • Work closely with Account Managers/Executives and Marketing Coordinators to place new/renewal business
  • Negotiate and offer recommendations on coverage based on individual customer needs
  • Maintain currency and develop specialization in a declared sector or market area through professional development activities
  • Stay up-to-date on market developments, including product offerings and changing insurance consumer trends and needs
  • Assist in training new Producers as directed by the Sales Leader or Profit Center Leader
  • Meet all Brown & Brown established quality control procedures and timelines
  • Participate in social, civic, and trade organizations to represent Brown & Brown's community/customer commitment
Requirements:
  • Experience in the insurance industry, with a strong emphasis on Employee Benefits insurance preferred
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required with appropriate work experience
  • Life & Health insurance license (if not already held, obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Detailed knowledge of a CRM system
  • Proficient with management operating systems that support insurance sales, tracking, and service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Tools - Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • This Position requires routine travel, which may involve a teammate driving their own vehicle or a rental vehicle; acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position
