Operating Room Circulator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Circulator to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a key member of our cardiac surgery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support during cardiac surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist the surgical team by managing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and responses to treatment, and intervene promptly in case of any complications or emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordinate with Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team to facilitate smooth transition of patients from the operating room to the ICU.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience circulating in open-heart surgery.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
