Optical Dispenser

We are seeking a skilled Optician Dispensing professional to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Bellevue, Washington.

• Analyze and interpret prescriptions to provide accurate and personalized eyewear solutions.
• Collect and maintain customer/patient records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Fit and dispense spectacles, lenses, and other ophthalmic devices, taking into account customer/patient visual requirements and needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service, educating patients on eyewear options and care.
• Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Perform administrative duties, including inventory management, third-party claims processing, and bookkeeping.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Dispensing Optician License (Washington) or American Board of Opticianry Basic Certification required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of optical and basic medical terminology.
• Computer skills in a MS Windows environment.

• Experience in an optical dispensary, ophthalmology/optometry practice, or other optical-related field.
• Graduate of an accredited Optician program.
