Job Description
This challenging role requires a deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as expertise in grant management and land use planning. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery plans and will be able to effectively coordinate with FEMA, CDBG, HMGP, and other relevant agencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in disaster recovery management, preferably within the government sector.
2. Extensive knowledge of FEMA, CDBG, HMGP, and the American Rescue Plan Act.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing funding and grant money.
4. Basic knowledge of the land use planning process and its application to disaster recovery.
5. Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery and mitigation plans.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and manage diverse teams.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
8. Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certification in Emergency Management or a related field is a plus.
10. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in challenging situations.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
