The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is a critical member of the Altru Health team, responsible for preparing the Cath Lab for cardiac procedures and ensuring patient needs are met. This role involves performing hemodynamic and control room duties, completing patient catheterization reports, and correlating invasive and non-invasive test results.
Key Responsibilities- Correlate test results to identify patient needs and report findings to physicians.
- Perform hemodynamic and control room duties, maintaining equipment knowledge.
- Prepare the Cardiac Cath Lab for procedures, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Practice radiation safety to protect staff and patients.
- Conduct patient stress tests and monitor results.
- ND Medical Imaging License within 12 months of start date.
- Cardiovascular Technologist - Registered within 24 months of start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of start date.
Preferred education: Associates in Cardiac Technician or Radiologic Technology. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and stooping/bending.
Working ConditionsIndoor working conditions, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
