Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Communications Systems Engineer to provide expert-level technical support for the design, installation, and maintenance of communication systems infrastructure at The University of Iowa.

  • Design and analyze communication systems infrastructure to meet business needs.
  • Maintain high-quality cable plant documentation in NetDoc and PCR360.
  • Develop project budgets and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Work collaboratively with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field.

Compensation

  • $65,117 - $85,000 per year (commensurate with experience).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or academic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and industry standards.
