Optometrist Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Eyecare Sales Associate to join our team at EssilorLuxottica. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with patients, and driving sales growth through effective product knowledge and sales techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients with a warm welcome and provide exceptional customer service
• Explore patient needs and priorities, linking to practice offerings and eye exams
• Demonstrate superior product knowledge, accurately describing features and benefits of all products
• Anticipate problems, explore underlying reasons, and strive to develop long-term solutions
• Possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Commit to delivery dates and times, set expectations for pick-up, and seek feedback about the experience
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on goals and competencies
• Operate the point-of-sale system, inputting patient information with accuracy and attention to detail
• Present, celebrate, and educate at product pick-up
• Take pride in the appearance of the practice and show initiative to keep displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized
• Inform management of potential safety opportunities
• Adhere to attendance and daily time-keeping requirements
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Sell on your feet 80-100% of the time
• Consistently maintain proper dress code

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong basic math skills
• Effective selling skills
• Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, or other software applications
• Embraces new technology and change
• Strong communicator and listener

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eyecare experience
• Sales experience
