Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Nurse Substitute at Louisiana State University. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential medical support to students, ensuring their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate the health and developmental status of students to identify physical disorders and other factors affecting their learning process.
  • Develop and implement health service plans, collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to promote student health and education.
  • Maintain comprehensive health history and health appraisal records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and community practitioners to promote student health and well-being.
  • Conduct sensory screenings, prepare daily itineraries, and monitor the administration of medications to students as prescribed by physicians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current licensed nursing certificate.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
