About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Lead to join our team at Dish Network. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of cutting-edge satellite communication equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of mechanical solutions to electronic packaging challenges at the chip level, board level, enclosure level, and data center level.
  • Design and develop custom indoor and outdoor enclosures to protect circuit board designs from harsh environments.
  • Participate in the full product life cycle from concept to production release, including design reviews and cost goal management.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering teams, including digital EE's, RF EE's, and MFGR Engr's.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with technical standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • BSME (or MSME) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in telecommunications electronic packaging.
  • 5+ years using 3D CAD systems.
  • 5+ years of broad material design experience for high-volume fabrication techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with thermal analysis and structural analysis.
  • Knowledge of environmental test standards and design techniques to achieve compliance.
  • Technical awareness of safety standards and design techniques to achieve compliance.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability and design for manufacturability engineering.
  • Project lead and project management experience.
