Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Optometrist to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages, encompassing preventative care, acute treatment, and management of chronic conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal vision health of our community members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity testing, refraction, and assessment of ocular health.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions, such as refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and other treatments as necessary.
  • Educate patients on eye care practices, disease prevention, and the importance of regular eye exams.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited university.
  • Three to five years of experience in optometric practice preferred.
  • Active Florida Optometrist license required.
  • DEA license (optional).
  • Certification in prescribing oral medications required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
