Key Responsibilities:- Operate and supervise flotation machinery to meet production goals while ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and regular inspections of equipment to guarantee optimal functionality and identify potential issues.
- Adjust machinery settings and process parameters to maintain product quality and enhance throughput in flotation operations.
- Monitor material flow and modify feed rates as necessary to improve production efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with fellow operators and maintenance teams to diagnose equipment issues and implement timely solutions.
- Maintain precise production records and report data as required.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Flotation Operator in a mineral processing environment, specifically with Copper and Molybdenum flotation.
- Strong comprehension of flotation processes, including familiarity with flotation cells and related equipment.
- Ability to interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment manuals pertinent to flotation operations.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques for flotation equipment.
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures applicable to mineral processing operations.
- Effective team player with the capability to work independently in a dynamic production setting.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical training or certification in mineral processing or a related field is preferred.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
- Work may occur in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, moving mechanical parts, and various hazards.
- Employees are required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, communicate, and work in confined spaces.
- Occasional lifting of moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) may be required.
- Personal protective equipment is mandatory, including hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other necessary protective gear.
- Rotating shifts may be required in a continuous operation.
