Position Overview:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse (RN) is a dedicated healthcare professional responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of care for vulnerable newborn patients.


This role involves utilizing the nursing process alongside advanced technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The RN will be stationed in a Level IV Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU), providing specialized care at a leading pediatric healthcare facility.

This NICU is recognized as one of the busiest in the region, catering to fragile infants from a wide geographic area, ensuring that critical care is accessible to those in need.

With a capacity of 51 private room beds, the unit serves a diverse patient population, with a significant percentage of cases being unique to this facility, underscoring the specialized care that cannot be found elsewhere.

Our NICU offers extensive educational opportunities in various specialties, including Cardiac, Respiratory, Surgical, Neurological, and care for Very Low Birth Weight (VLBW) and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) patients.

We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, psychological safety, and teamwork. Our caregiver-to-patient ratio typically ranges from 1:1 to 1:2, depending on patient acuity.

This position involves a rotating schedule, with both day and night shifts, utilizing a self-scheduling system.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to newborn patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and education.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in a Level IV NICU setting.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to see and read information, assess patient needs, operate medical equipment, and interact with patients and families effectively.
