Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team on a temporary, full-time basis. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including waived, highly complex, and moderately complex testing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform waived, highly complex, and moderately complex laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and immunology.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
  • Process and analyze patient specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
  • Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state license (if required by state law).
  • ASCP certification or equivalent required within one year of employment.
  • Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or completion of coursework in a program for MLT.
  • 1 year of hospital laboratory work experience preferred.
About the Role

This is a temporary, full-time position with a 1-year timeframe. The successful candidate will be required to work 8-hour shifts, with the possibility of night shift differential. Benefits for this position will be discussed during the hiring process.
