Cashier Assistant

Job Summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, checkout areas, and stockroom.
* Restock shelves, face merchandise, and maintain visual displays to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
* Assist with special projects and tasks as directed by management, including restocking returns, replenishing front-end items, and cleaning.

Requirements

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
* Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
* Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
* Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
* Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
* Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including but not limited to regular attendance.
* Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
* Must have technical training (this is a job specific requirement).

* Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs

* Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
* Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%
* Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
* Max pull static: 20 lbs.
