We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Lab Technician to join our team at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. As a Medical Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other diagnostic tests.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with medical technologists, supervisors, and department head to review and interpret clinical laboratory data.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- A 2-Year/Associate Degree in Science is required.
- A State of Florida Technician License OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process.
- ASCP or similar certification is highly desirable.
