Job Summary

At CVS Health, we are committed to delivering enhanced human-centric healthcare for a rapidly changing world. As a District Support Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to controlled substances and patient confidentiality.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and train pharmacy technicians, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking medications, supplies, and equipment.
  • Financial Profitability: Monitor and manage pharmacy finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential losses, including those related to inventory, supplies, and equipment.
  • Workflow Management: Optimize pharmacy workflow to ensure efficient and effective patient care, including managing patient flow, staffing, and resources.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA).
  • Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
