- This role involves working closely with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care, manage patient care management, and maintain accurate patient documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Active participation on the patient care team, contributing to the identification and reporting of specific patient needs to healthcare providers.
- Review patient charts, collect additional information, and engage in patient care huddles to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, take vital signs, assess patient needs, and perform routine lab procedures as outlined in the Laboratory Manual.
- Support healthcare providers during examinations and diagnostic procedures, administer non-intravenous injections as ordered, and maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop effective care plans, follow standing orders, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Stay up-to-date with clinical skills, participate in professional development activities, and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- LPN or RN licensure in South Carolina, BCLS certification required; experience preferred but new graduates considered.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer use and keyboard operation, and ability to lift and position patients safely.
