Welder Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team at Alliance Industries Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, and pressure vessels.

• Lays out, measures, positions, aligns, and fits components together
• Assembles parts from blueprints and designs, fabricates, and welds components without blueprints as needed
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with supervisors or engineers to clarify production problems
• Set up equipment and welds parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment and plasma cutter
• Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
• Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
• Finishes parts per blueprint, deburs sharp edges
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units
• Competently welds up to 3" plate
• Able to weld in all positions
• Ensures weld quality
• Capable of welding with flux core and TIG
• Able to operate machines such as plate rolls, shears, iron worker, press break, and welder as required
• Anticipates, prevents, pinpoints, and rectifies potential problems
• Facilitates and/or performs corrective action if problems are noted in function or appearance
• Possesses knowledge and demonstrates ability to install and identify hydraulic components and hoses
• Able to operate machines, operator drill press, engine lathes, and vertical mills

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
