The County of Adams is seeking a skilled County Detective to collaborate with local police departments, ensuring consistency and efficiency in crime investigation processes.

As a County Detective, you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide technical assistance and guidance to local law enforcement agencies in solving complex crimes.
• Conduct thorough interviews with witnesses, victims, and suspects, analyzing evidence to gather critical information.
• Testify in court as required, presenting findings and expert opinions.
• Prepare detailed reports on all activities, fostering collaboration with various agencies and stakeholders.
• Represent the County of Adams at law enforcement meetings, promoting effective communication and cooperation.
• Utilize advanced technologies, including computers, 2-way radios, and mobile devices, to support investigative efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania Act 120 Municipal Certification is preferred.
• At least 5 years of prior experience as a police officer, with at least 2 of those years in Pennsylvania.
