About the Opportunity:

U of L Physicians, a leading medical group in Louisville, KY, is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Specialist to join its team as a Critical Care Physician.

Job Summary:

This full-time position involves providing high-quality patient care as an attending physician for the Pulmonary and Critical Care services at UofL Health facilities in Louisville. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing critically ill patients and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to pulmonary consultations and Medical Intensive Care Unit rotations
  • Participate in weekday rounds from 7am-5pm, with after-hours services including night call (5pm-7am) and weekend rounding on pulmonary floor and ICU patients
  • Conduct outpatient clinics services at UofL Health facilities, focusing on general pulmonary clinics and subspecialty clinics based on individual expertise
  • Perform Pulmonary Core privileges, including admitting, evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and providing consultative services to patients presenting with thoracic or chest-related diseases
  • Manage procedures such as insertion/management of chest tube, central venous catheters, bronchoscopy w/biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, mechanical ventilation management, percutaneous tracheostomy, tracheal intubations, and moderate sedation/analgesia

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a degree equivalent to an M.D. and possess a valid license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Board eligibility or certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care is also required.

Travel Requirements:

Candidates should be prepared to travel between UofL Health facilities within the Louisville metro area.

Estimated Salary Range:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $250,000-$350,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
