Key Responsibilities- Imaging Interpretation: Interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
- Report Writing: Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians.
- Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with clinicians to diagnose and manage patient conditions based on imaging findings.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality assurance and safety protocols in the radiology department.
- Interventional Procedures: May perform interventional radiology procedures based on expertise and facility requirements.
- On-Call Coverage: Provide on-call coverage as needed.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency Training: Residency training in diagnostic radiology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Certifications: Board certification in radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the AOA.
- License: Active and unrestricted medical license in the state where the facility is located.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in diagnostic radiology.
- Subspecialty Certifications: Additional subspecialty certifications may be required or preferred depending on the position.
