About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Senior Lifestyle. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Job Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output for each resident.
  • Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report them to your supervisor promptly.
  • Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living as needed.
  • Transfer, position, and turn residents safely and comfortably.
  • Provide skin care and promote wound healing.
  • Contribute to the resident's assessment and plan of care, working closely with the healthcare team.
  • Promote nursing rehabilitation and restorative nursing services to improve residents' quality of life.
  • Care for residents with dementia, using person-centered approaches and supportive communication strategies.
  • Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by your supervisor to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents, listening to their concerns and validating their experiences.
  • Treat residents with dignity and respect, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Report suspected abuse or neglect to your supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' personal belongings.
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency equipment and procedures, staying calm and composed during crisis situations.
  • Participate in all required training, in-service, and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, equipment preservation, and safe working practices.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing, subacute, assisted living, or memory care setting is preferred.
  • CNA licensure may be required by state, depending on location.
  • Basic computer skills are essential for accurate documentation and data entry.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, handling multiple tasks safely and effectively.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Dedicated, compassionate, and energetic individuals are highly valued in this role.
