Job Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver efficient and effective nursing care, achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. The LPN will contribute to nursing assessments and care planning, provide direct patient care, and supervise patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient evaluations and develop care plans
- Provide direct patient care and supervise unlicensed staff
- Assist physicians in rounds and examinations as needed
- Participate in shift-to-shift communication and collaborate with other departments
- Enhance nursing practice by attending in-service programs
- Assist with the orientation of new nursing staff
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing, currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing, and have experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing. BLS/CPR certification is also required.
