We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pathologist to join our team at WMC Advanced Physician Services PC. As a Clinical Pathologist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting institutional academic and scholarly missions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Department Director and Chief of Clinical Pathology in overseeing clinical and technical aspects of laboratory operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of CAP, NY State Department of Health, and other applicable agencies
- Support institutional academic and scholarly missions, and participate in providing education and training of students, residents, and staff
- Join an academic department with a strong and diverse faculty, an ACGME accredited residency program, and a supportive atmosphere for practicing clinical pathology
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Possession/eligibility for an unrestricted medical license to practice in New York State
- Possession/eligibility to obtain appropriate Certificates of Qualification (CoQ) for Medical Directorship in New York State
- Board certification in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, or in Clinical Pathology
- Additional Certification/expertise in Hematopathology, Molecular Pathology, or Clinical Chemistry is a plus
