The Role
Position: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Beverly, MA
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Hours: Part-time, 15 hours weekly (Monday-Friday, preferably either 5am-8am or 4pm-7pm)

Summary & Responsibilities
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for ensuring the physical integrity and safety of our Beverly Day Program. This includes performing cleaning tasks and executing prompt and economical maintenance repairs.

  • Conducts general maintenance tasks
  • Assists in moving furniture as needed
  • Replaces light bulbs
  • Cleans bathrooms, kitchens, and office spaces of debris and litter
  • Maintains cleanliness of floors as required
  • Provides assistance in cleaning home locations and, if necessary, supports maintenance at other Communitas facilities for special projects
  • Assists with light plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains and toilets, and repairing leaking faucets
  • Handles painting and other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge and experience in maintenance procedures
- A strong commitment to supporting our individuals is essential
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Must pass company background and reference checks
