Purpose of the Position:
As a Coatings Specialist at Advanced Containment Systems, you will be responsible for producing high-quality finished products by utilizing your skills, equipment, and established manufacturing processes associated with paint coatings, including wet and/or powder coat paint applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed company metrics, including Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Collaborate with the engineering department to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Apply primer and finished top coat to products produced at ACSI.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to established painting processes.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Capacity to understand and execute directions from supervisors and lead personnel.
- Knowledge of reading measurement equipment, including tape measures and mil thickness gauges.
- 2-3 years of experience in paint applications associated with steel and other metals.
- 2-3 years of experience with wet and/or powder coating applications.
Work Environment:
- 100% shop-based work.
Work Schedule:
Week: 40+ hours, with regular breaks and time for meals.
Physical Demands:
- 50% standing, 50% walking.
Environmental Factors:
- Indoor/outdoor work.
Performance Standards:
- Performance evaluation based on quality and quantity of output.
