Job Title: Data Modeler

Are you a skilled data modeler looking for a challenging role in the financial industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Modeler to join our team at a leading global bank in Irving, TX.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Modeler to develop strategic state-of-the-art solutions using agile methodologies, Microservices, and integration with multiple applications and services. As a Data Modeler, you will work closely with our team to identify data and information needs for our wholesale lending business, develop conceptual, logical models, and metadata solutions, and perform data analysis on various data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop conceptual, logical models, and metadata solutions
  • Perform data analysis on various data sets
  • Design and maintain blueprint of the information architecture, data integrations, and controls aligned to the renewed business strategy
  • Unify data concepts across disparate front office, credit risk, servicing, and reporting functions of the business unit
  • Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and data from existing systems
  • Participate in requirement engineering and working groups and collaborate with business leads, operations, SMEs, technologists, and governance teams
  • Define, model, and rationalize target state solution, socialize with key stakeholders, and conduct walkthrough
  • Incorporate data standards and implement governance model
  • Develop data flows, ownership matrices, mapping, and data lineage

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree
  • Strong hands-on experience in developing Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Model for Wholesale Lending
  • Experience in developing large-scale data models that fit multiple lines of business
  • Hands-on modeling expertise using Magic Draw, ERwin, or ERwin Architect and metadata management tools
  • Financial industry knowledge in wholesale lending, risk management, servicing, and risk/regulatory reporting
  • SQL query knowledge and performing data analysis
  • Product knowledge in commercial banking, capital, and investment banking and markets
  • Knowledge of Data Management methodologies involving architecture, modeling, storage, security
  • Prior experience in data integration, interoperability, and data quality solutions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Data Architecture/Modeling
  • 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Data Modeling and implementation using RDBMS - Oracle
  • Experience in UML/relational/hierarchical/Big Data concepts
  • Data modeling experience using Magic Draw and Cameo
