Montana State University is seeking a qualified individual to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions in the English Department. The successful candidate will teach classes depending upon need and available funding.
Responsibilities- Teach courses such as Introduction to Creative Writing, Intermediate Fiction Workshop, Intermediate Poetry Workshop, and Intermediate Creative Nonfiction Workshop.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet program-wide student learning outcomes.
- Participate in faculty development activities to enhance teaching and learning.
- Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Support and promote an inclusive and culturally diverse campus environment.
- A master's degree in English or a closely-related field.
- Successful experience teaching college writing or literature courses.
- Demonstrated commitment to the practice of creative writing.
- Experience working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues.
- A PhD in creative writing.
- Experience teaching creative writing courses.
- A record of publishing creative works.
- A commitment to supporting, promoting, and building an inclusive and culturally diverse campus environment.
This is a part-time position with appointments varying in duration, depending on the specific needs of the department/program. Salary is dependent on the number of courses taught and duration.
