Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part-time Sales Associate to join our team at Great Lakes Ace Hardware. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, handling customer transactions, processing refunds, and issuing in-store credit.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer service areas.
  • Assist customers with finding merchandise, answering questions, and providing product information.
  • Process special orders, handle returns, and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
