Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork: Function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Safety and Compliance: Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and report any safety issues or repairs required.
  • Delivery and Unloading: Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule, unload products from the trailer, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete all required paperwork associated with freight, including count checks and customer invoices, and maintain accurate records of hours of service.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
