Central Bancompany is seeking a highly skilled Bankcard Collector to join our team. As a Bankcard Collector, you will be responsible for contacting cardholders regarding past due balances and working with them to resolve these issues.
Key Responsibilities- Contact cardholders via telephone to discuss past due balances and payment options.
- Assist cardholders with payment arrangements and provide information on available options.
- Research and resolve disputed items on cardholder credit reports.
- Review and respond to bankruptcy notices and system reports of returned checks and ACH payments.
- Work with third-party collection agencies and attorneys to resolve past due collections cases.
- Document all cardholder communication and update collection and regulatory reporting agencies.
- Prepare charge-offs of past due accounts deemed uncollectable.
- Perform reviews and checkbacks of work prepared by coworkers.
- Complete customer CRM for every case.
- Act as a liaison with personnel at affiliate banks and processors.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure accurate and complete customer accounts.
- Attend training sessions to increase knowledge of the bank and financial services industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
