Pike Corporation is seeking a talented Cartographic Data Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our designers, engineers, and GIS management team to create high-quality cartographic displays and track project status.

About the Job

As a Cartographic Data Technician, your primary responsibility will be to prepare drawings using ESRI's ArcMap/ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other integrated electronic drawing packages. You will also assist in creating web-based mapping tools and dashboards to support clients and internal use, maintain graphical features in client GIS systems, and develop and maintain drawing standards for use in company-produced drawings.

You will work closely with our team to document and report preparations with Microsoft and other industry-specific programs, assist with implementing and managing field data collection tools and tasks, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare drawings using ESRI's ArcMap/ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other integrated electronic drawing packages
  • Assist in creating web-based mapping tools and dashboards to support clients and internal use
  • Maintain graphical features in client GIS systems
  • Develop and maintain drawing standards for use in company-produced drawings
  • Document and report preparations with Microsoft and other industry-specific programs
  • Assist with implementing and managing field data collection tools and tasks
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED
  • 0-2 years of experience in GIS and/or CAD programs and working in the GIS utility industry
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively
  • Understanding of spatial concepts, projections, and query operations
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-oriented with excellent customer service skills
Benefits

Pike Corporation offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
