Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently in search of Junior Composite Manufacturing Technicians to support various segments of the production system while engaging with multiple aircraft programs throughout your career.

Location: USA - North Charleston, SC

Role Responsibilities:

As a Technician in Composite Manufacturing, you will operate within a production assembly setting, utilizing knowledge gained from training and certification to fulfill your daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting technical drawings and comprehending work instructions to determine your task location on the aircraft or components.
  • Identifying necessary tools, parts, and equipment to ensure quality work free from defects.
  • Utilizing conventional material layup techniques, precision measuring tools, and both power and hand tools.
  • Gaining experience with CNC machinery and completing the New Hire Training Cycle to secure and maintain all required certifications.
  • Operating various mechanical lifts and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to work a variable shift.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Manufacturing, Fabrication, or Aviation.
  • Proficiency with standard hand tools.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
  • Capability to perform computer searches and comprehend technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with material layup and CNC operations.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting technical specifications and diagrams.

Education:

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED, along with 1 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Work Environment:

This position requires 100% onsite presence, and the selected candidate will be expected to work at the designated location.
