CareSTL Health is in search of dedicated, Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physicians to deliver comprehensive diagnoses and treatment for diseases and injuries affecting the internal organ systems of adult and geriatric patients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following outlines the primary responsibilities associated with this role, though additional tasks may be assigned as necessary. The Internist may have their duties reassigned due to reasonable accommodation or staffing needs.
1. Provide clinical care, including but not limited to: acute and chronic medical care and health maintenance for adult and geriatric patients.
2. Offer after-hours support for urgent health care issues for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis.
3. Engage in the health center's Performance Improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and execution of the health center's healthcare strategies, particularly in internal medicine protocols.
4. Implement Evidence-Based Medicine and Patient-Centered approaches in practice.
Proficiently utilize electronic health records (EHR) for: clinical documentation, ordering and reviewing laboratory and radiology tests, and completing all tasks promptly in accordance with organizational policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
MD / DO from an accredited institution.
Completion of ACGME Accredited Residency Training in Internal Medicine.
Board Eligible or Board Certified as an Internist licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong clinical and communication skills.
Transportation Requirement:
Must possess reliable transportation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may oversee medical students and Nurse Practitioners as necessary.
Also requires Clinical Practice Collaborator Agreements with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other Mid-Level Staff.
Additional eligibility qualifications include licenses, programs, certificates, pre-employment checks, and annual screenings.
Verification of Board Certification as an Internist licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.
Current registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry.
Must maintain hospital admitting privileges at appropriate facilities.
Must meet criteria for Meaningful Use of the Electronic Health Record.
Annual PPD or Chest X-Ray.
Training requirements include licenses, programs, or certificates.
Board Certification as an Internist licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
11 paid holidays per year.
