Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Program Facilitator for the HALO Program. As a Program Facilitator, you will play a critical role in providing academic and vocational support to students with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the HALO Program, including recruitment and outreach, application and interview processes, and program assessment and updates.
- Process documentation and maintain student files, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Collaborate with instructors to coordinate experiential events on and off-campus for the HALO Program, promoting student engagement and learning.
- Assist in the coordination of the HALO Peer Mentor program, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
- Advocate for students to ensure equal access and promote their independence and life skills development.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience/education.
- Knowledge of and/or experience working with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, or related regulations.
- Experience working directly with and supporting individuals with various types of diagnoses or disabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and inclusively with students.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with students with disabilities at the college level.
- Experience working with students in a mentoring role.
