Position Overview:
As a key member of our construction team, the Permanent Mechanical Systems Estimator will play an essential role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. This position involves close collaboration with our project management team, clients, and contractors to deliver precise cost estimates for mechanical systems, which encompass HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical piping.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  2. Perform mechanical systems analysis to pinpoint potential challenges and propose effective solutions.
  3. Utilize CAD software to produce detailed designs for mechanical systems.
  4. Collaborate with project management, clients, and contractors to guarantee accuracy in cost estimates.
  5. Examine project plans and specifications to uncover cost-saving opportunities and assess risks.
  6. Engage in project meetings to update stakeholders on cost estimates and address any arising issues.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact cost estimations.


Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, particularly in mechanical systems within the construction sector.
  2. Demonstrated experience as an HVAC Estimator, Plumbing Estimator, or in a comparable role.
  3. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, specifically HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical piping.
  4. Proficiency in CAD software.
  5. Strong analytical abilities for conducting thorough mechanical systems analysis.
  6. Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  7. Meticulous attention to detail for producing accurate and thorough cost estimates.
  8. Familiarity with construction industry regulations and standards.
  9. A degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  10. Certification as a Professional Estimator or equivalent is advantageous.
