Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Care Specialist - Advanced Practitioner to join our medical team at West Virginia University Medical Corporation dba University Health Associates. Salary: $110,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role: The Pulmonary Care Specialist - Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for managing comprehensive and individualized care for patients with pulmonary health issues. This will involve performing daily rounds, consulting with medical staff, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing individualized plans of care. You will also have the opportunity to participate in education and research initiatives, as well as collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage comprehensive and individualized care for pulmonary patients and their families during hospitalization and ambulatory settings.
  2. Perform daily rounds, consult with medical staff, order diagnostic tests, and develop individualized plans of care.
  3. Participate in education and research initiatives, as well as collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
  4. Document hours and submit billing reports, as appropriate.


Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field, National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers, Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia, BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department, and 1-2 years of experience in pulmonary or acute care.
