Job Title: Production Scheduler

Join our team as a Production Scheduler at The Toro Company, where you will play a critical role in planning and coordinating the production of our high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate the production of manufactured components and parts to support the flow of goods to assembly and service parts.
  • Utilize SAP-driven tools to ensure planned order quantities support production line planning.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in decision-making, often working without direct supervision.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain yearly targets and schedule assembly trials, pre-series, and other activities as needed.
  • Regularly review and monitor design changes, ECOs, planning changes, and model discontinuance notices to minimize material surplus or obsolescence.
  • Participate in monitoring and planning for timely and economical disposal of surplus, obsolete, and rejected material.
  • Coordinate processing of service part requirements between production and materials departments to minimize customer backorders.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate strong reading, clerical, analytical, and math skills.
  • Maintain accurate data in computer systems and communicate information to all levels of management as required.
  • Have solid MS Word and PowerPoint skills and advanced skills in Excel.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including a professional, self-confident image.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment without direct supervision.
  • Have a good work record, including indications of strong self-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attention to quality, ability to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality.
Work Environment:

The Production Scheduler will work in a plant environment most of the time, with regular continuous use of a computer and telephone. The role requires the ability to work with confidential information and handle rapidly changing workloads, priorities, multiple commitments, and frequent deadlines.
