About the Role

Premise Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in High Point, NC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and services in our healthcare clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient interviews to determine medical problems and document in charts for physician review
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and weight
  • Assist physicians with patient examinations as needed
  • Review physician orders, lab requests, and follow-up needs with patients
  • Document services performed on appropriate forms
  • Apply dressings, compresses, ice, and heat packs as instructed
  • Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel
  • Administer specified medication orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection and note time and amount on patients' charts
  • Assemble and use clinic equipment
  • Collect samples from patients for testing and perform routine laboratory tests
  • Sterilize equipment and supplies
  • Clean rooms and change linens
  • Maintain supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies
  • Respond to patient or client telephone inquiries by evaluating and responding to their problems and questions
  • Follow up with patients who miss appointments
  • Follow up with patients on lab results, including scheduling additional tests as needed
  • Coordinate referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices
Requirements
  • Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited program
  • Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse
  • Current hands-on Certification in Basic Life Support
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
