Position Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in alignment with the institution's management principles and nursing department goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the effective administration of nursing services, maintaining operational efficiency within the healthcare facility.
2. Implement the nursing process to guarantee continuity and excellence in care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
3. Exhibit the necessary expertise and skills to cater to the specific age-related needs of patients within the nursing unit.
Qualifications:
Education:
Possession of foundational nursing knowledge is essential. A Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or psychology is preferred, alongside graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Experience:
A minimum of five years in a Staff Nurse position, with experience in a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nursing Manager role, is preferred to develop the requisite skills and knowledge.
Licensure:
Must hold a current Registered Nurse (R.N.) license in New York State.
Work Schedule:
This position requires full-time commitment with standard hours of 36.00 per week, including night shifts of 12 hours, rotating weekends, and holidays.
