Role Summary:
The Membership Sales Representative is tasked with engaging the community to promote YMCA memberships and program registrations. This role is pivotal in achieving membership goals and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Responsibilities include advocating for the YMCA's mission and its associated benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with leadership, the Membership Sales Representative motivates potential members to join the YMCA of the Foothills and participate in various programs and events.
- Actively seeks to enroll new members through self-initiated outreach, promotional activities, and referrals, while managing and nurturing leads.
- Meets or surpasses membership and program sales objectives as established by sales leadership, contributing to a supportive team environment.
- Articulates the YMCA's mission effectively, emphasizing the importance of community connection over mere facility access.
- Engages with prospective members to create positive experiences, conducting tours and interviews that cater to their needs, and facilitating membership processing.
- Generates leads through community outreach, tracking guest passes, and leveraging various opportunities for engagement.
- Maintains an up-to-date understanding of programs, events, and marketing efforts to encourage participation and drive membership growth.
- Collaborates with team members to execute membership campaigns and drives, participating in events as necessary.
- Builds trust with potential members through transparent communication and a genuine passion for the YMCA's mission.
- Adheres to safety and risk management standards, ensuring a secure environment for all.
- Conducts regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential hazards.
- Fosters relationships with members and families, promoting community involvement and identifying volunteer opportunities.
- Encourages participation in YMCA initiatives and programs.
- Complies with YMCA policies regarding safety, medical situations, and cleanliness standards.
- Maintains positive interactions with members, staff, and volunteers at all times.
- Supports colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Participates in scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
- Represents the YMCA of the Foothills positively in all interactions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a sales role.
- Familiarity with sales techniques and practices.

- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications required within a specified timeframe.
- Capability to connect with diverse community groups.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
- Bi-lingual skills (Armenian, Korean, or Spanish) are advantageous.
