Progressive Care Unit Travel Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in California. As a PCU RN, you will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including cardiac and other medical information.
- Administer medications, as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures, and provide support during recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient progress, symptoms, and treatment plans in electronic medical records.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the United States.
- 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a PCU setting.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neurological Institute's (NIH) certifications required.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $6,500 per week based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, plus tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
