Leafy Greens Packaging Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Leafy Greens Packaging Specialist to join our team at BrightFarms Inc. in the role of packing leafy greens in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety protocols and be able to adhere to standardized practices and quality requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out daily weighing and packaging plans, communicating with supervisors when irregularities occur, and accurately recording charts related to performed labor and inspection results.

**Responsibilities:**

• Adhere to all current SOPs, procedures, inspections, and quality requirements
• Communicate with supervisor when irregularities with product or equipment occur
• Fulfill daily harvest plan per supervisor's instruction
• Accurately record charts related to performed labor, inspection, and results according to company and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area
• Operate Hand Pallet Jack
• Report food safety and quality problems to Supervisor, the SQF Practitioner, or directly to Senior Management

**Requirements:**

• 0-1 years of experience in a production environment or related work experience
• Food or agriculture industry experience preferred
• On-going training in Food Safety and Sanitation
• Ability to fulfill routine logs related to food safety and inspection reports

**Working Conditions:**

This role involves working mostly in cooler temperatures ranging between 35-55 degrees Fahrenheit. Employees will also be exposed to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. The noise level of machines and cooling units can be loud.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Constantly use hands to finger, handle, or feel as well as talk and hear
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and on a rotating basis constantly lift up to 10 pounds
• Clear correctable vision at close and distance range as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards

**Compensation and Benefits:**

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. BrightFarms Inc. offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
