Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist II to join our team at PL Developments. As an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for performing analysis in the functional areas of analytical testing using modern analytical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Analytical Testing: Conduct analysis in the functional areas of analytical testing using modern analytical equipment such as HPLC, FTIR, UV, GC, ICP, and Wet Chemistry.
  • Support Production: Provide analytical testing in support of production, analyzing Raw Material, In-Process, Finished product, Stability samples, and investigational samples.
  • Compliance and Quality: Thoroughly understand and comply with FDA cGMPs, cGLPs, USP, ICH, SOPs, and other recognized standards.
  • Lab Operations: Share in the responsibilities of housekeeping, including glassware, waste, retains, lab waste disposal, and calibration services.
  • Communication: Communicate lab test data, data review, and reporting of OOS/QR/OOT test results to the lab manager.
  • Process Improvement: Provide ideas and feedback for areas where efficiency can be implemented in the lab through the 5S process improvement program.
  • Safety and Compliance: Support all general safety and pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in FDA regulated environment working in QC laboratory.
  • Skills: Strong HPLC experience required with trouble shooting skills, experience with GC, FTIR, UV Spec, ICP, and other analytical instrumentation preferred.
  • Software and Tools: Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lb, ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lb, ability to regularly stand, sit, and walk to perform tasks.
