Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Measurement Technician to join our team at the James Lake Plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring volumes and identifying potential needs for preventative maintenance. Your expertise in metering and calibration will ensure accurate and reliable measurements, enabling us to provide our customers with timely and accurate information about pipeline flows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measurement and Calibration: Perform complex calibration, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on high volume meters, high BTU meters, online or portable GC's, and LACT units.
  • Discrepancy Identification and Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in measurement data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor new or less skilled employees on measurement and calibration procedures.
  • Measurement of High and Low Pressure Gathering Systems: Measure and record data from high and low pressure gathering systems.
  • Installation, Programming, and Calibration of EFM Computers: Install, program, and calibrate Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) computers.
  • Calculation of Volume Rates and Sizes of Orifice Plates: Calculate volume rates and sizes of orifice plates to set flow rates.
  • Collection of Gas and Liquid Samples: Collect gas and liquid samples for analysis.
  • Installation, Operation, and Maintenance of Gas and Liquid Sampling Systems: Install, operate, and maintain gas and liquid sampling systems.
  • Installation, Programming, Maintenance, and Calibration of Portable and Stationary Gas or Liquid Chromatographs: Install, program, maintain, and calibrate portable and stationary gas or liquid chromatographs.
  • Scheduling, Completion, and Witnessing of Flow Tests on Wells: Schedule, complete, and witness flow tests on wells using open flow orifice meters and portable meter runs.
  • Routine Inspection, Calibration, and Repair of Meter and Associated Equipment: Perform routine inspection, calibration, and repair of meter and associated equipment.
  • Routine Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair of Communications Equipment and Sampling System: Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of communications equipment and sampling system.
  • Product Composition and Quality Sampling and Testing: Perform product composition and quality sampling and testing.
  • Work Autonomously and in Diverse Weather Conditions: Work autonomously at varying times and in diverse weather conditions, at remote field locations.
  • Participate in Training Programs and Safety Meetings: Participate and successfully complete training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations and company policy.
  • Accurately Complete Documentation: Accurately complete documentation such as timesheets, MAXIMO work orders, safe job plans/work permits, and regulatory reports.
  • Optimize Work in Most Effective Manner: Optimize work in most effective (efficient and leveraging priority) manner, in alignment with the Maintenance Work Process (MWP) and within the tenets of S.A.F.E. and Stop Work Authority.
  • Maintain Facility Appearance and Safety: Maintain facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices.
  • Effectively Utilize Tools and Test Equipment: Effectively utilize tools and test equipment as needed.
  • Respond to Operational Emergencies: Respond to operational emergencies as a member of an emergency response team.
  • Perform and Accurately Document Regulatory Required Inspections: Perform and accurately document regulatory required inspections.
  • Oversee Contractors Providing Specialty Services: May oversee contractors providing specialty services (Quality Assurance, Quality Control).
  • Install, Maintain, and Troubleshoot Process Controls and Regulation: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot process controls and regulation.
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot Condensate Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) Equipment: Maintain and troubleshoot condensate Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) equipment.

Requirements
  • Legally Authorized to Work in the United States: Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • High School Diploma or GED: High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License and Acceptable Driving Record: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Currently Live or Willing to Relocate within 35 Miles of the Reporting Location: Currently live, or be willing to relocate, within 35 miles of the reporting location (Goldsmith, TX) - must have a reliable means of contact for call-out purposes.
