Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to support a large-scale, ground-up manufacturing construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from inception through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the general contractor and architect/engineer services provider for all construction-related activities.
  • Lead the Turner & Townsend site project team and work closely with the client to ensure project success.
  • Develop and implement site layout and design, including roads, infrastructure, and site utilities.
  • Conduct constructability reviews of designs and identify potential risks to project cost and schedule.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and the general contractor to ensure project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and standards, as well as health and safety regulations.
Design Phase Services
  • Support the development of the Minimum Functionality Case and identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Contribute to Value Engineering efforts and assist in identifying long-lead items for procurement.
  • Assist in preparing request for proposal for the general contractor and commissioning agent procurements.
  • Establish success criteria for the project construction, including schedule, cost, technical, and quality performance parameters.
  • Review design and construction drawings against project requirements and identify constructability issues.
Construction Phase Services
  • Coordinate with local authorities and developers to ensure site development and permitting.
  • Review project submittals and RFI, and coordinate with the Commissioning Agent during development of the Commissioning Plan.
  • Provide oversight of the general contractor during construction phase activities, including regular site visits and review of construction work.
  • Attend daily construction status meetings and Owner, Architect, Contractor meetings as scheduled.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years' project management experience.
  • Degree in Construction Management or equivalent and OSHA certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, including MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Desirable to have experience in real estate green field development, such as laboratory projects.
