This position plays a critical role in our Inpatient Imaging Department, performing radiography (x-ray) examinations to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiologic technology and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiography (x-ray) exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, obtain and record vital signs, explain procedures, and position patients for optimal imaging.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on radiology equipment, and identify and report any accidents or equipment malfunctions.
  • May assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation, administer breath alcohol tests and/or urine drug screens, and perform patient registration tasks.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required.
