Operates a tractor-trailer (day cab/sleeper), tandem trailer, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes to collect loads for distribution and other related food and non-food product deliveries.

The Truck Operator is tasked with returning the designated loads to TransForce warehouse locations for inventory management. The Truck Operator is accountable for punctual pick-ups and ensuring the correct products are received and loaded.

The Truck Operator must execute all responsibilities in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, adhering to all Company safety protocols and meeting all quality standards.

This role is a dedicated Logistics or Procurement position, typically reporting to a Logistics Manager/Supervisor.

The work schedule may involve local and/or over-the-road routes, including layovers, which will not exceed two nights.
Expect to work 40+ hours a week.

100% no touch freight.

No slip seating.

Modern equipment.

This position may require additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

All tasks must be performed in accordance with DOT regulations and Company health and safety policies.


Conduct thorough load and paperwork inspections, including but not limited to product counts, invoices for loaded products, quality assessments, and other related tasks as necessary.

Accurately complete all required paperwork associated with backhaul operations.

Travel to assigned supplier/vendor and/or TransForce warehouse locations following a predetermined route and delivery schedule. The schedule and route types may vary between local and over-the-road, including layovers. The length of over-the-road schedules will depend on the business needs of the location.

Regularly check in with the direct supervisor to confirm route, load, and schedule. Inform the supervisor of any issues related to load drop-off/pick-up, schedule changes, and other pertinent information.

At the end of each shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary documentation.

Maintain courteous and professional behavior in all interactions.

Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.

  • High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent
  • Must be able to adhere to the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or ability to secure a new DOT Health Card
